Here are some easy strategies to try at home that can help develop fine motor and visual motor skills:

• • Play dough – Rolling, pinching, squeezing, hiding toys/beads
  • Paper – Tearing paper,scrunching paper into a ball
  • Spray bottles – water plants, draw on asphalt, mix with food coloring and spray on snow
  • Tweezers – to pick up small items
  • Lacing/stringing – beads, macaroni
  • Eye droppers – with colored water on paper, coffee filters
  • Popping bubble wrap
  • Peel and sticking stickers
  • Cutting – junk mail, coupons, play dough, straws
  • Writing – sidewalk chalk, in sand/shaving cream, soap crayons in bathtub
